Let us celebrate a memorable year for De L’Europe
An anniversary that marks 125 years of Original Amsterdam Luxury
Established in 1896, De L’Europe has evolved from an exclusive hotel in the heart of Amsterdam into a guardian of local culture and craftsmanship. Often called Amsterdam’s second royal palace, the hotel overlooks the intersection of the Amstel River and several canals; almost every visitor to Amsterdam inevitably passes this hotel on a canal cruise.
From the late 19th century’s age of grand tours and neoclassical architecture— the hotel has been thoughtfully restored in keeping with its history and tradition.
In honor of its 125th anniversary, De L’Europe held a party to celebrate in elegance and style. The hotel was transformed into a space where local art, style, and luxury icons came together under one roof. It was an evening of cultural performances, live jazz music, and delicious dishes from restaurants and bars serving their specialties, from French classics at Brasserie Marie to authentic Italian homemade dishes at Graziella to elegant canapes at the fine dining restaurant Flore.
Ronald van der Kemp, a Dutch fashion designer and founder of Couture fashion house RVDK, designed a dress dedicated to celebrating the hotel’s 125th anniversary. Known for his awareness of sustainability and ethical fashion, the dress was created using high-end existing materials and leftovers, crafted by hand by small ateliers and artisans.
De L’Europe is arguably the perfect way to bond with Amsterdam.
It is more than just a hotel – It’s a symbolic landmark in the historic city
