Monique was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia so travel is in her antipodean blood. After receiving a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (with the requisite of a six-month backpacking trip around Europe), Monique spent ten years working for a global public accounting firm in Human Resources. Monique’s work brought her to the US, where she moved permanently in 2003.
In 2007, Monique left the corporate world to attend Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and graduated with honors. Monique has now married her passion for food and travel, and considers food one of the most important aspects of travel. Exploring local markets and restaurants is most often top of her list, especially after spending the past 5 summers in the European countryside.
Monique, her husband Tony, and their three children live in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles. With three young children, Monique has a particular interest and expertise in vacation planning for families….and getaways sans children.
Monique is a member of the Victoria Racing Club in Melbourne and the Melbourne Cricket Club and is a board member of the Getty Research Institute Collections Council and the ESMoA.
