Palazzo Avino

Ravello, Italy

Acclaimed as one of the best hotels in the world, Palazzo Avino sits perched 1000ft above the Mediterranean sea in the hilltop village of Ravello, overlooking some of the coast’s most picturesque fishing villages. Originally a 12th century private villa for a noble Italian family, the hotel was transformed in 1997, without losing the baroque charm it was previously known for.

The hotel offers 33 rooms and 10 suites, each one carefully designed to meld traditional style with contemporary features—and with its one staff to two guests ratio, you can count on inimitable service, tailored especially to you.

The story

Originally a 12th century villa for a noble Italian family, Palazzo Avino was renovated to the highest standards in 1997. Today, it boasts a one-Michelin star restaurant, Ravello’s only exclusive Beach Clubhouse by the Sea, and settings that range from casual to stylishly sophisticated.

Your stay

Each of the four deluxe suites have a private terrace, perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset over the mesmerizing blue Mediterranean sea.

Querido represents a Community, now closer to an extended Family, with an unparallel share of values, believes and visions. The sharing enriches, not only the business, becoming powerful in many different ways.

How to spend your time

Palazzo Avino’s Clubhouse by the Sea is located in the small town of Marmorata, a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Head there for the day because once you dip your toe into those magical waters, you might not want to come back.

Fall in love with

The unreplicated feeling of being hosted in a private Italian house, thanks to hand-picked flowers and intentionally curated textiles and linens, chosen by the hotel’s owners.

Expect the unexpected

The Pink Closet is the hotel’s very own luxury fashion boutique where co-owner Mariella Avino will help pick you out something for the evening ahead. Take your new outfit for a spin at the hotel’s Lobster and Martini Bar – where you have the choice of over 100 martinis and every night you’re guaranteed to see the stunning Ravello sunset.

The best time to visit

Open from early April until the end of October, we love to visit Ravello when spring’s in full bloom; the Ravello Music Festival in July and August is a must, especially the Sunrise Concert that begins at 5am with the sun; warm fall days without the crowds feels just as romantic, too.

More to experience with Querido
