Malibu Beach Inn is a place of tranquility and relaxation. The ocean waves gently lapping at the shore, the soft sand between your toes, and the warm sun reminding us to unwind and recharge, appreciate nature’s beauty and let go of everyday life’s stresses.

New York City and Malibu may seem worlds apart, but Querido’s  The Lowell and Malibu Beach Inn come together to combine their unique experiences that are equally exhilarating into the perfect itinerary. New York City’s energy and fast-paced lifestyle is infectious, while Malibu’s laid-back atmosphere is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Querido held a remarkable week of networking at the beautiful Malibu Beach Inn. Our hoteliers and top players from the travel industry bonded over home cooked dishes and cocktails!

Among the attendees, Ernesto Floro, the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Lowell in New York City, shares his unforgettable “Querido Stays” experience at Malibu Beach Inn.

Set the scene for us. What is Malibu Beach Inn all about?

Malibu Beach Inn sets the stage for a quintessential Southern California beach experience. The location is next to none on PCH, a stone’s throw from the iconic Malibu Pier – which you can see from your room’s balcony as you enjoy the California sun. It’s the perfect location to experience everything Malibu has to offer.

How did it feel going from New York City’s rush to Malibu’s serene ambiance?

Walking into my room and seeing the Pacific Ocean through the terrace doors immediately both lifted my spirit and calmed my mood. Malibu Beach Inn doesn’t just relax you. The warm and inviting decor of the rooms against the majesty of the ocean and the golden sun puts you in a California state of mind – “life is good”.

When it comes to views, Malibu Beach Inn is known for “ocean views from every room”. Tell us more about your experience.

I’ve always loved a beautiful sunset, and they are even more special in Southern California, complete with some wildlife sightings in the ocean! And Malibu Beach Inn is the perfect spot to enjoy it!

How were your dining experiences at the hotel? Do you recommend a must-try dish?

The food was fantastic! I had the Niçoise salad multiple times – I found it to be a great California cuisine take on the classic.

What was one thing about the hotel that stood out to you?

The one thing that stands out to me at Malibu Beach Inn is how close you are to the beach and ocean – literally! You can enjoy looking at it from the privacy of your room, you have immediate private beach access – a rare thing in Malibu, and you can dine al fresco looking at the ocean. You feel like it’s yours!

What are some of your favorite activities to do in Malibu?

I love doing things that allow me to take in the surroundings: Enjoying the view with a cup of coffee in the morning, going on a hike in the hills, paddle boarding along the beach, and always enjoying a good shopping excursion!

A California state of mind – “life is good”
