For sure a tie: São Lourenço do Barrocal, was home for a night after a day of cycling through Alentejo…. The scenery, the team bringing hot tea and warm homemade banana bread to my room as I was getting settled, was such a welcome treat. Followed by a tour of the winery and one of the freshest most delicious dinners… yep. All about the food and vibe. Tied with one of my all-time fave properties on the planet: Palazzo Avino I just cannot get enough, the views, the service, beachclub, the aperitif: cocktails was light, and crisp, presentation to perfection… and dining at their Michelin-restaurant Rossellinis remains one of my most delightful dining experiences of all time.
