Passalacqua, a historic mansion, hosted some of the world’s most influential minds, including Napolean Bonaparte, Winston Churchill, and Vicenzo Bellino, becoming a gathering place for prominent figures. Constructed in the 18th Century by Andrea Lucini Passalacqua alongside talented architects and artisans, his grand vision was to bring one of the most stunning villas on Lake Como to come back to life.
Today, Passalacqua, the sister property to the lake’s Grand Hotel Tremezzo – one of the world’s most iconic hotels, is the latest project for one of Italy’s most renowned hoteliers and natives of Lake Como – the De Santis family. Being ingrained in Lake Como for generations, the family has revived the estate and gardens back to magnificence with love, respect, and thoughtfulness, celebrating the charm of “Vivere Italiano” and sharing the glamour and wonders with them a new 21st-century audience.
