Introducing Passalacqua

Opening in June 2022, experience the true essence of Lake Como at the Passalacqua!

Join us on an Italian tale like no other! This is an inspiring story about a magnificent villa perched above the village of Moltrasio. Passalacqua, a historic mansion, hosted some of the world’s most influential minds, including Napolean Bonaparte, Winston Churchill, and Vicenzo Bellino, becoming a gathering place for prominent figures. Constructed in the 18th Century by Andrea Lucini Passalacqua alongside talented architects and artisans, his grand vision was to bring one of the most stunning villas on Lake Como to come back to life.

Today, Passalacqua, the sister property to the lake’s Grand Hotel Tremezzo – one of the world’s most iconic hotels, is the latest project for one of Italy’s most renowned hoteliers and natives of Lake Como  – the De Santis family. Being ingrained in Lake Como for generations, the family has revived the estate and gardens back to magnificence with love, respect, and thoughtfulness, celebrating the charm of “Vivere Italiano” and sharing the glamour and wonders with them a new 21st-century audience.

The Grand Villa features twelve spectacular rooms and suites with dazzling high ceilings, ornate stuccos, and terrazzo floors, making fairytales a reality.

At Pus Palaz, the rooms feature jewel-tone walls, with 200-year-old oak beams and Venetian silk lamps displaying a time full of historical stories and talents. A sensational feeling one cannot relate to unless physically there.

The Casa al Lago is nestled in a lush green oasis overlooking the blue waters of Lake Como. With four rooms featuring an enchanting private garden, guests can relish the ancient fruit trees!

Nature and history took their precious time creating our one-of-a-kind charming property with vast romantic rose gardens, a vegetable garden, an antique orchard, a stunning swimming pool, and a lakeside tennis court. There are countless activities to participate in – from morning workouts at the open-air gym in the olive grove to treating yourself with spa treatments in the fruit garden followed by a relaxed dining experience within the formal gardens offering a “less is more” approach to Italian home-cooked dishes.

Passalacqua is a place of wonder built from the heart by a family that has the ambition to give life to a magical estate by honoring the past and keeping it relevant for the centuries ahead.
