Amanda Schulenberg

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Amanda grew up enjoying the beauty of the California coastline, exploring the Channel Islands and spending time in Hawaii where her Dad is from. Since graduating from Wake Forest University, she returned to Los Angeles where she began a career in hospitality. She first worked in PR and marketing for Cachet Hotel Group later transitioning into an operations role at Viceroy Hotel Group. After four years in LA, she decided to go back to school, later receiving a masters in International Management from Birkbeck, University of London School of Business. After business school, Amanda joined the New York based travel agency the Local Foreigner in October 2020 as a Luxury Travel Advisor and was awarded Travel + Leisure Rising Star of 2023. Amanda has lived in London for almost 5 years now and she has been fortunate enough to explore the local ins and outs of the city, as well as the British countryside. She is also happy to always be a short train ride away from Paris and a short flight from other top European destinations. Given her background in luxury hotel management, Amanda has always been a resource for friends, colleagues and family seeking travel recommendations and she loves helping clients plan holidays that they will never forget!
