Growing up in an eager-to-travel family and, later on, sailing competitively for the Dutch Olympic Sailing team, I was fortunate enough to travel to many countries and discover many different cultures. After having to end my sailing career abruptly due to an injury, I knew my destiny… spreading the travel joy amongst others! From one thing came the other: an idea grew to become reality. To date I feel fortunate to be able to do what I do and, furthermore, when done right, we are solely dealing with happy guests! What’s not to like about that.
Knowing I grew up on a sailing school, it’s no secret that I enjoy my free time most when surrounded by water; either in liquid or frozen state (in the snowy mountains, that is!). You can find me sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing anytime when the wind is right. But, when temperatures drop, I will happily trade in my surfboard for a snowboard.
My favorite travel destination: anywhere I have not been before.
Favorite Memory
My first trip with the Querido team, to Italy. Palazzo Avino, Villa Treville and Borgo Egnazia. All in one trip. Can you imagine? The hotels, the food… but foremost, the people.
